In August, bags of
school
supplies are
provided to
needy children to
help
them start the
school year
with all of the
necessary
supplies.

Supplies
needed are:
Backpacks, pencils, looseleaf paper, folders, spiral notebooks,
rulers, glue, Fiskar children's scissors, erasers, highlighter
markers, pencil boxes or pencil bags, Crayola or RoseArt Watercolor
Paint Sets, Crayola or RoseArt 24 ct. crayons, pens.
All supplies must be new.

With the help of State Farm and the
Engelwood Police Department, new backpacks filled with school
supplies are handed out at the annual Back to School Parade in
the Engelwood Neighborhood in Chicago. |

The children in this neighborhood are from
low income households and would not go to school with the proper
school supplies if we did not help them. |
|
In 2002 and 2003 we were able to provide for 400
children. |
