Jarrett Payton, son of the late Walter Payton, former Chicago Bears running
back and member of the NFL Hall of Fame. Born on December 26, 1980, and
grew up in Barrington, Illinois and graduated from St. Viator High School.
Jarrett played quarterback, tailback and receiver for St. Viator, which he was
rated the No. 58 overall prospect in the nation by The Sporting News, and
named the No. 5 athlete in the Midwest Region by PrepStar. He didnít even
start playing football till his junior year in high school. Starting at age 3 Jarrett
played soccer until his sophomore year, which he led the squad to third-place
at the state championship his final year. After high school he went on to
the college level of organized football at the University of Miami, where he
received his degree in liberal arts, and played as tailback and fullback
for the Hurricanes. Jarrett Payton went on to play with the Tennessee Titans,Amsterdam Admirals, Montreal Alouettes and the Toronto Argonauts.
January 2010 Jarrett signed with the Chicago Slaughter.
